Tips and Tricks

I also have a 597 standard .22lr, and I can tell you, greasing the guide rods with a light moly grease makes the gun run so very well. This gun is easily as accurate as my 10/22 was, and is an absolute ball to shoot. I can shoot just about every brand of ammo, some with the same point of impact as the next. I used QuikShok fragmenting rounds to blast a groundhog into the everafter at about 45 yards. Anchored him with the first shot, and put a couple more into him for good measure.

Great value in a .22 rimfire rifle.
